Local memoirist Shayne Stiller will have a book signing and Q&A at 11 a.m. at the Bemidji Public Library. Author of “Courage in the Face of Apert: Victory Against All Odds While Living With Apart Syndrome,” Stillar has faced lifelong issues with ear, nose, muscle and joint, eye and other concerns. Despite his challenges, Stillar graduated from university, went on to a career in wastewater management and competed in road cycling around the country. Join the Bemidji Public Library for a special “Read for Inclusion” story time from 2 to 3 p.m. This welcoming event is designed for children of all abilities, featuring stories that celebrate inclusion and the power of belonging. The interactive story reading will be led by members of Lead for Inclusion’s Youth Leadership Board, with discussions about kindness and inclusion and fun interactive activities. Bemidji Adventures in Lifelong Learning presents “Across the Tracks” from 10 to 11 a.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church in Bemidji. Local historian and author Cecelia McKeig loves to find characters in the history of Bemidji and Beltrami County. She found a couple stories by Paul Keif and decided to research the North Lake Irving neighborhood, then and now. If Bemidji public schools are canceled or late, ALL will not meet.
Hubbard in Prevention will host a coffee talk from noon to 1 p.m. in the basement community room at Northwoods Bank in Park Rapids. Bring a lunch and enjoy a casual, engaging discussion with local experts. This month there will be a presentation by the Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office about alcohol awareness month.

The Hubbard County Developmental Achievement Center presents “Winnie the Pooh” at 4 p.m. at the Armory Arts & Events Center. The production is free for all to enjoy, thanks to a grant from the Region 2 Arts Council.
