Comedian and actor Russell Brand has been charged with several counts of rape and sexual assault in Great Britain.

The Forgetting Sarah Marshall star has been slapped with two counts of rape, two of sexual assault, and one of indecent assault, the Daily Mail reported Friday, citing Metropolitan Police.

The incidents reportedly date back more than 20 years.

The four accusers have not been identified.

Allegations against Brand were reported back in September of 2023 when four women came forward to accuse him of sex crimes. At the time, he vehemently denied the claims, saying in a statement that he was “very, very promiscuous” but that “the relationships I had were absolutely always consensual.”

Brand, 50, was a comedy staple in the UK before exploding on the US scene as Aldous Snow in Forgetting Sarah Marshall in 2008. He later reprised the role in 2010’s Get Him to the Greek.

The author and podcaster, who has been open about his past struggles with drug and alcohol addiction, was briefly married to American pop star Katy Perry from 2010 to 2012.
